AED has designed a number of maintenance rigs and transport trolleys for Viridor’s waste grabs at their various plants in Scotland. This unit is the largest and most complex to date.

The rig is sized to accommodate the grab while also being narrow enough to fit through all the required doorways in the plant, once removable ladder sections are taken off. The rig features drop-down gangways on hydraulic struts for accessing frequently needed areas. Large diameter castors of fixed and rotating type allow the rig to transit a wide range of surfaces.
