Existing main switchgear equipment and access facilities at Monklands Hospital required replacement. AED surveyed the site and designed replacement access ladders, access hatches, platforms and various types of stairs to fit in the existing space. This involved tailoring the steelwork elements around the new switchgear, cable trays and wall mounted equipment and over various trenches in the stepped floor.

We were successful in achieving a high specification fit while providing sufficient tolerance for significant irregularities in the existing build.
