AED worked with artist Del Whitticase and Sculpture and Design in Glasgow to create this piece of public art on the Moray Firth.

Key to the longevity of the design was controlling wind-induced vibration of the individual pieces. This required fluid dynamics studies to estimate the frequency of vortex shedding off the heads and poles for a likely range of wind speeds. Stiffnesses were then tuned to minimise oscillation.
