AED have been appointed special structures engineer for the European Championships Glasgow 2018. We are producing structural design for the signature entrance structure and the main geodesic dome. We can’t reveal any details prior to the event but the structures will be prominent in the BBC televised coverage from George Square, so seen by up to a billion people over the ten days of the event. AED were brought in by Glasgow 2018 because of our experience in working with artists and temporary structures. We’re obviously very excited to be involved in this amazing project.
